and enhanced runways and taxiways.
- Includes the latest object/obstacle database from Jon Stockill. This
is largely based on the FAA obstacle database, but includes a growing
number of user contributed landmarks from around the world.
- 2D data is taken from http://www.custom-scenery.org/ which is largely
based on the vmap0 data set but allows for user contributions, fixes,
and additions.
- Oblate ellipsoid world model. TIN surface mesh. Allows you to fly
continuously and seamless from any point on the earth to any other point
on the earth using true (WGS-84) great circle routes.
Description: This is v1.0.1 of the FlightGear world scenery
distribution. It is designed to work with FlightGear version 1.0
and higher. With the exception of some of the new add-on models, it
should be backwards compatible with previous versions of FlightGear.
It consumes about 13Gb and is packaged in 3 DVD set. This set
contains FlightGear scenery for the entire world. The individual
scenery files are distributed in .tgz format to save space so you must
install them on your hard drive before you can use them.
